Reflection:

At the beginning of the semester, I was concerned this class would be more difficult than I had originally anticipated. After reading the first part of the book and learning how to complete the first assignment, I was a bit wary and didn't know how well I would perform, but the teacher and the demonstrations were well done and helped me to have confidence in my abilities. The teacher's demonstrations not only were clear and concise and very well done. When I had questions or concerned, he would explain how to successfully fix my problem or how to perform the task at hand. In addition, he was very encouraging and complimentary of the work made and the efforts of the students in his class.

From being in his class, I learned how to have confidence in something I have never participated in. He helped instill this confidence in me from the beginning which helped me to be able to be successful when attempting to make jewelry. While making the jewelry, it was fun to see how the pieces came along and to be able to see my competed pieces. I enjoyed learning how jewelry is cast and how to shine and polish metal. Each component made the class more interesting and more fun for me. It was an endeavor that was much more successful than I thought it would be. I learned many things that I feel will be beneficial to me as I continue with my schooling and hope to be able to remember the skills I learned.
